Candle Care

Get the Most From Your Candle

Every Cutties & Giggles candle is thoughtfully crafted to provide a clean, even burn and long-lasting fragrance. Following these simple care tips will help you enjoy your candle safely while extending its life.

Trim the Wick

Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch (5–7 mm).

This helps:

  • Prevent excessive smoke
  • Reduce soot
  • Create a cleaner, brighter flame
  • Encourage an even burn

First Burn Matters

Allow your candle to burn until the melted wax reaches the edges of the jar during the first use (usually 2–4 hours).

This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of your candle.

Burn Responsibly

For the best performance, burn your candle for 2–4 hours at a time.

Avoid burning for more than 4 hours, as this can cause the wick to become unstable and reduce the candle's lifespan.

Keep Away From Drafts

Place your candle away from open windows, fans, or air vents.

Drafts can cause:

  • Uneven burning
  • Excessive flickering
  • Smoke and soot
  • Reduced fragrance performance

Extinguish Safely

Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame.

Always allow the wax to cool before relighting or replacing the lid.

Store Correctly

Store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.

This helps preserve the fragrance, wax quality, and appearance.

Candle Safety

For your safety, always:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep away from children and pets.
  • Place on a heat-resistant surface.
  • Keep away from curtains, paper, and other flammable materials.
  • Stop using the candle when approximately ½ inch (1.2 cm) of wax remains.
  • Never move a burning candle while the wax is hot.
